🌞 A Fully Optimized Morning Routine
Plus a LIVE Q&A Tonight at 8 PM EST
ATTENTION:
Jay and I will host a free, open-to-the-public Q&A session tonight at 8 PM EST.
It will be streamed live on YouTube, IG, and X, but the best place to watch to make sure your questions are answered is on YT. Go here to watch the show or get notified when it starts.
Now, let’s look at my take on morning routines.
Most people start their mornings off HORRIBLY.
For the average American, the first hour or two of any given day looks a little something like this:
❌ Wake up (exhausted because you didn’t sleep properly), reach over beside you, and grab the phone that’s been charging next to your head all night 🤦♂️
❌ Proceed to doomscroll for about 30 minutes.
❌ Stumble to the kitchen, slam multiple cups of coffee/energy drinks/pick your high-caffeine beverage of choice.
❌ 15 more minutes of doomscrolling
❌ Shave, shower, throw on some clothes, grab something (usually low-quality) to eat, and then get in your car and sit in traffic for about 45 minutes.
It's not ideal.
While it may sound cliche at this point (we’ve all seen our share of cheesy “billionaire morning routine” YouTube videos), there’s a reason this topic is so extensively covered:
The first few hours of the day are CRITICAL.
Whatever you do during this time sets the pace for the rest of the day.
Start things off the right way, and you’ll be set up for a day filled with energy, creativity, production, and an amazing night’s sleep.
Start things off the WRONG way, and you’ll be setting yourself up for a day filled with frustration, anxiety, mindless busy work, and a monkey mind spinning at 120 miles an hour when your head hits the pillow.
Now, when it comes to morning routines, this is highly personal.
Everyone’s different, and everyone has their own unique rituals they like to perform.
Nonetheless, there are a few commonalities that almost every happy, healthy, and productive person I’ve met has in common regarding these first few vital hours.
Today, I wanted to share mine to give you some inspiration.
Here are a few of the things I do every morning to make sure I’m starting the day off on the right foot:
💉💊 Injections & Supplements
Unlike most people, I do NOT start my day with a big ol’ bolus of caffeine.
Instead, I start my day with a big glass of water to wash down all my supplements.
Then I move on to banging out my injections - testosterone, peptides, and whatever other injectable agents I’m using at that particular moment.
🏃♂️ Exercise
Ask any productive person, and they’ll tell you that exercising first thing in the morning is 🔥 for productivity.
Far better than any cup of coffee could ever offer.
I engage in some form of exercise every single morning.
On my training day, this will involve both lifting (obviously) and cardio done post-workout
On resting days, this will involve fasted cardio on an empty stomach (which has the added benefit of INCINERATING fat)
🔴 Red light
You must expose yourself to natural light first thing in the morning.
It will help wake you up, but it will also help regulate your circadian rhythm (which will help you sleep in the evening).
So how exactly do you get red light?
Jay and I are both partial to the Trifecta Red Light Bed (which comes with the added bonus of incinerating stored body fat)…
But we also recognize that that’s a $50,000 piece of equipment that most people can’t access.
Instead, you can use a natural source of red light - the sun ☀️
Seriously, please spend some time basking in the sun’s beautiful rays each morning (gazing at it and getting light in your eyes is encouraged).
You’ll be stunned at what a difference it makes in your day.
🍃🧘♂️ Meditation & Grounding
Last but not least, we have two of my absolute favorite - and dead simple - practices.
Now, I’m sure most of you know what meditation is now.
And it’s something I highly recommend making a part of your routine.
What kind of meditation you do is largely up to you, but the point is that you’re taking time out to connect with yourself and tame your monkey mind.
As for grounding, this is another simple practice that helps connect you with yourself and the Earth’s natural electrical energy.
Get outside barefoot and run your feet and fingers through the ground.
It sounds a little woo-woo, but I promise that it feels AMAZING.
And that’s it!
A simple, straightforward morning routine.
I do a few more things, but I think this should give you more than enough inspiration for how to structure the first few hours of your day.
👉And if you want to learn more about this (and all the other habits that I engage in throughout the day), be sure to check out our new course, Life Enhanced)
It meticulously details EVERYTHING Jay and I do to live the way we live, look the way we look, and feel the way we feel.
Best,
Hunter Williams
