Agents of Metabolic Change

Increase your metabolism with these peptides

Happy Tuesday!

I just released a new video today on testosterone resistance syndrome.

For today’s email, I’m picking right back up from yesterday’s email about why it’s infinitely smarter to boost your metabolism rather than trying to cut your way to a shredded physique.

Quick recap from yesterday: cutting calories puts your metabolism into survival mode.

It slows everything down, wrecking your energy levels, hormonal health, and eventually making fat loss painfully difficult.

On the other hand, raising your metabolism turns your body into a high-performance furnace.

Your baseline calorie burn—the calories you torch while relaxing on the couch—goes up, allowing you to effortlessly stay leaner and stronger.

But here’s the thing…

Even though boosting metabolism is the smarter approach, it doesn’t mean that adding every peptide under the sun will keep exponentially increasing your metabolic rate.

These metabolic boosters don’t stack in a simple, linear fashion.

In other words, taking one peptide might increase your metabolism by 15%, but adding another one doesn’t automatically boost it another 15%—and definitely not to a crazy number like 300% or 3000%.

Instead, think of these peptides as tools, each optimizing different aspects of metabolism.

As you stack more of them, the incremental benefits diminish.

You might still see additional results, but they become marginally smaller.

Realistically, combining these peptides might get you an overall metabolism increase of 20-25%, depending on your starting point and individual factors.

If you normally burn 2,000 calories per day, you may realistically be able to change your basal metabolic rate to 2400-2500 calories per day using a strategic, targeted approach.

Below, I’ll break down some powerful peptides, explaining clearly and simply:

  • What each peptide is

  • How exactly it boosts metabolism

  • My best personal guess on how much it might increase your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) in percentage terms.

Important Note: These estimates are based purely on my own personal experience and anecdotal observations. They’re not scientifically validated percentages. Consider this email as my educated guess—not clinical gospel.

1. BAM15

What it is:

BAM15 is a mitochondrial uncoupler—it essentially makes your cells burn extra calories as heat, bypassing normal energy production routes.

What it does to boost metabolism:

It dramatically increases energy burn at rest by forcing mitochondria to use up more fat and carbs for heat production instead of storage.

My BMR Boost Guess:

Roughly 15-25%. This is noticeable and potent, especially at the start.

2. SLU-PP-332

What it is:

An ERR (Estrogen-Related Receptor) activator, sometimes called an “exercise mimetic,” because it triggers cellular adaptations similar to endurance exercise.

What it does to boost metabolism:

Enhances mitochondrial density and function, thus raising your resting calorie burn similar to the aftereffects of aerobic exercise.

My BMR Boost Guess:

About 10-15%. Substantial, especially if you’re relatively sedentary.

3. MOTS-C

What it is:

A naturally occurring mitochondrial-derived peptide that optimizes how your muscles handle energy, glucose, and fat.

What it does to boost metabolism:

It improves metabolic efficiency, increases AMPK activation (which boosts calorie burning), and enhances your body’s ability to handle nutrients effectively.

My BMR Boost Guess:

Approximately 5-10%. It’s subtle but steady.

4. SS-31

What it is:

A mitochondria-targeting peptide known primarily for restoring mitochondrial health and function, particularly as we age.

What it does to boost metabolism:

It corrects mitochondrial inefficiencies. So, if aging or oxidative damage has impaired your metabolism, this peptide will indirectly help you reclaim lost metabolic function.

My BMR Boost Guess:

Around 3-5%. It’s a restorative, rather than a direct booster.

5. Retatrutide

What it is:

A powerful peptide agonist acting on GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors, offering a strong combination of appetite suppression and increased calorie burn.

What it does to boost metabolism:

Primarily through glucagon activation, it increases thermogenesis (calorie burning through heat), significantly elevating resting metabolic rate.

My BMR Boost Guess:

An impressive 15-25%. One of the strongest metabolic accelerators I’ve encountered.

6. Injectable L-Carnitine

What it is:

An amino acid derivative responsible for transporting fats into the mitochondria so they can be burned as fuel.

What it does to boost metabolism:

It primarily boosts your body’s efficiency at burning fat—particularly during activity. At rest, it has a mild metabolic benefit.

My BMR Boost Guess:

A modest 3-5%. Beneficial but subtle.

7. Tesamorelin

What it is:

A Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) analog that naturally increases your growth hormone levels.

What it does to boost metabolism:

Increased GH supports more muscle mass and accelerates fat oxidation, especially visceral fat, which raises your overall calorie burn modestly.

My BMR Boost Guess:

Around 5-10%. Noticeable improvements over months, rather than days.

8. Ipamorelin

What it is:

A growth hormone secretagogue that prompts your body’s natural GH pulses—though milder than other GH boosters.

What it does to boost metabolism:

Increases GH secretion slightly, boosting fat burning and muscle retention. Appetite increases slightly, potentially offsetting metabolic gains if calories aren’t controlled.

My BMR Boost Guess:

About 3-5%. Effective when combined with proper nutrition.

Quick Summary of My Personal Estimates:

Total Probable Change From All Agents Combined

Important Reminder:

These benefits do not stack linearly.

Adding multiple peptides will continue to help your metabolism, but each additional one offers diminishing returns.

If BAM15 boosts your BMR by 20%, adding Retatrutide might give you an extra 10-15%, rather than another full 25%.

More isn’t always drastically better, and you won’t achieve absurd increases like 3000%!

The smart move is choosing peptides that align best with your goals and using them strategically, rather than expecting miracles from stacking dozens of compounds.

Realistic expectations lead to consistent, sustainable results.

These estimates are purely based on my experiences, observations from people I trust, and anecdotal reports from my community.

They are absolutely not clinical promises or scientifically validated.

Your results could vary significantly based on genetics, lifestyle, dosage, and other factors.

So, the real takeaway?

Metabolic boosters can genuinely transform your body composition.

But keep expectations grounded, pick your tools wisely, and remember the value of a well-rounded approach—including sleep, exercise, nutrition, and stress management.
