🏋 How I Approach Training From A Place Of Love❤
The right and wrong way to think about exercise
Tonight at 8 PM EST, join Jay Campbell, Jason Theobald, and me as we discuss how to use quantum innovations like GLP-1 Peptides and various other bio-energetic agents to compete and win at the highest levels of bodybuilding and fitness.
Gone are the days of starvation diets and grueling prep to compete at the highest levels when you understand how to harness these transformational tools.
Jason is a bodybuilding prep expert and owner of www.ScoobyPrep.com.
Whether you’re a bodybuilder, biohacker, or seeking to get into the best shape of your life, we’ll be dropping a ton of insider intel you won’t find anywhere else.
Back when I played college football, my teammates and I used to go to WAR in the weight room.
In fact, I don’t know a single player at that level who didn’t do this…
And who didn’t attack it with the intensity of a gladiator.
It was part of the job description.
Everyone who made it that far knew precisely what the deal was.
If you wanted to play the game at that level, you not only had to destroy your body on the football field and in practice…
You had to destroy your body in the weight room.
Me?
I LOVED going to war on the field.
To this day, very few experiences in the universe hold up to the thrill of showing up on game day and leaving it all out there.
The weight room?
Not so much.
Don’t get me wrong - I thought I did.
But when I look back on it, the enjoyment I got from smashing the weights was coming from a very DARK place.
Punishment.
Most people (and especially most men) have a very masochistic relationship with working out.
Looking back, there was a mentality of “paying my dues.”
Forking up the entrance fee required of me to live the dream I was living.
There was also a heavy dose of fear involved.
If I didn’t endure these grueling workouts, I would lose my edge…
And someone would come and take my spot.
It's not exactly the healthiest motivator in the world.
But for some guys, it’s a lot darker than that.
Many guys will outright say they’re going there to “beat out their demons.”
And I get it.
There is something therapeutic about putting yourself through physical suffering.
There was certainly an aspect of that for me after I got out of football and kept up with the grueling training as a working adult subjected to the mundaneness of the “regular world.”
But it’s not sustainable.
If these are your motivations, you will tap out at a certain point.
There’s a reason why so many college athletes get fat later in life.
Seriously, ask that flabby uncle of yours who used to play football or hockey to show you some pics of him when he was younger.
You’ll be shocked at the absolute STALLION you see looking back at you in those pictures…
And the absolute DUMPSTER FIRE you see sitting in your living room.
So, what’s made me different?
What’s made Jay Campbell (a former high-level basketball player) different?
Our mindset.
We both approach working out from the perspective that exercise is loving your body.
Yes, you heard that correctly.
Not punishing your body.
Not “beating your demons out”.
LOVING your body.
❤️ I don’t have to whip myself to go the gym - I have to STOP myself from going too often
❤️ I don’t HAVE to train today - I GET to train today
And when you get to that point, you can play the game FOREVER.
You’re not suddenly going to stop working out.
Why would you 🤷‍♂️
So, how do you get to this point?
By loving and trusting yourself.
Because once you get to the point where you love yourself, it’s impossible NOT to live (and treat your body) like this.
