Help Yourself First
How to know if you're ready
A few days ago I sent out an email with a few of the INSANE testimonials that Jay Campbell and I have collected over the last year or so on our courses.
And I’ve got to say, it was a pretty staggering email to read - even for ME!
I mean, you wouldn’t think it would be all that shocking for me.
I was one of the people who created the courses.
A lot of the men and women leaving these testimonials were people that I’ve interacted with personally through the Fully Optimized Health Community.
Still, it’s one thing to understand it intellectually.
To actually sit there and SEE it all in one place was pretty breathtaking.
And further confirmation that Jay and I are 100 percent on the right track 😎
But as I was putting it all together, I noticed something…and I want to see if you can spot it.
Go ahead, have a gander at the email.
Scroll through the written testimonials and down to the pictures.
Notice anything about the guys in those pics?
Yeah, yeah, I know - they’ve all lost a TON of weight and gained a TON of muscle.
That’s obvious.
But it’s not what I’m talking about.
Want a hint?
Look at the BEFORE picture.
None of these guys were obese.
Overweight?
For sure.
And they all made a DRAMATIC change.
But none of them were clinically obese metabolic emergencies who suddenly transformed into chiseled titans.
Now, I know that seems like an odd point to be highlighting here.
After all, if the programs that me and Jay created are really that good, wouldn’t it be better to highlight a few of those stories?
It wouldn’t - because VERY few of those stories exist.
Sure, we have some.
I have one guy in my coaching program who came through my door as a 400+ pound mess and lost 50 pounds in 3 months!
And it’s truly inspirational to see (big shoutout to my man Ben)…
But it’s very much not the norm.
The truth is this - all of the case studies that you saw in that email had something going for them.
They were NOT rank beginners - they were people had demonstrated SOME track record of health.
They had built up SOME discipline, and SOME good lifestyle habits (even if the bad outweighed the good).
And they had all learned to help themselves.
And that’s the message I want to get across in this email.
All of these peptides, all of these bioregulators, all of these amazing agents?
ALL of the incredible results they get go to people who learn to help themselves first.
And yes, this is both on a psychological and biological level.
On a psychological level, you need the basic habits and foundational knowledge in places.
On a biological level, you need some kind of a baseline and a relatively functioning body for these agents to work effectively.
This is why some 400-pound individuals can take 10 mg of tirzepatide a week and still feel kind of hungry…
While someone who’s optimized (or even just your garden variety overweight person) will barely be able to eat a bowl of rice on that dose.
This is why Jay and I have such an incredibly difficult time helping these people and why guys like Ben are so rare - because they don’t have either of these things.
Sure, I can produce content and courses that points them in the right direction.
I can give them the tools and recommendations they need for long-term success.
But with very few exceptions, the tip of the spear stuff we offer won’t help them:
Because they haven’t learned to help themselves.
So, that’s the takeaway for this email…
If you want all of this to help you, learn to help yourself first.
Best,
Hunter Williams
