Rebranding Testosterone

Why so few people understand this vital hormone

When I look back at my childhood, it’s almost comical how most people viewed testosterone.

If you’re my age or older, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

For a long time, popular culture pushed a simple message:

High testosterone = dumb meathead.

If you had high testosterone, you were almost certainly labeled a brainless gym bro.

I can still remember people making jokes about it…

The implication was that high testosterone somehow meant low intelligence (when, in fact, the opposite is true).

Fortunately, those days seem to be behind us.

Yes, the mainstream media still loves to spread fear about the “dangers” of therapeutic testosterone.

But the genie is out of the bottle.

Thanks to the internet, more men (and women) are learning the importance of testosterone…

And the benefits of optimizing it.

Don’t believe me?

Consider this—testosterone prescriptions TRIPLED between 2001 and 2011.

So, while it might not seem like it sometimes, it’s important to remember the tide is turning. That’s the good news.

The BAD news?

People STILL don’t get it.

If you look at the marketing around testosterone optimization, it usually boils down to two variables:

💪 Muscles

🍆 Libido

Seriously, look at how most guys talk about it.

Most men have absolutely ZERO idea testosterone is closely tied to cognition.

Most men don’t realize their depression and brain fog likely stem from low T.

They don’t fully understand the symptoms of deficiency or the benefits of optimization. Even the guys into this stuff don’t grasp all the moving parts.

Case in point?

Most “hormone-aware” men obsess over their total testosterone levels.

I hear it all the time.

“Bro, I got 860 ng/dl—what about you?” 🤦‍♂️

Never mind that free testosterone is a FAR more critical indicator of male hormonal health.

You can have sky-high total T while your free T is in the toilet.

But the worst part of this?

It’s not just being dumbed down on a scientific level…

It’s being dumbed down on a SPIRITUAL level.

This was the best part of becoming optimized for me, so many guys I know, and clients I’ve worked with.

The libido and muscle growth?

Cool.

The cognitive benefits?

Amazing.

The reduction in mental and emotional symptoms?

Life-changing.

But all of it pales in comparison to the spiritual benefits.

Within months of starting testosterone, I didn’t just feel better—I felt more CONNECTED.

😌 I felt more connected with my friends and family

😌 I felt more connected with my higher self

😌 And I felt more connected to the divine.

And right now, that’s my mission…

A mission to ultimately “rebrand” testosterone.

A mission to get people to think about this more deeply.

To bridge the spiritual and hormonal—and to help people understand they’re one and the same.

Rest assured, ALL of this will be covered in my upcoming book Testosterone: The God Molecule, tentatively set to drop October 3rd.

Best,

Hunter Williams
