Sermorelin vs. Tesamorelin
Battle of the GH peptides
One of the more common questions and comments I get relates to Sermorelin.
It’s FDA-approved, so many doctors love prescribing it to their patients.
Today, I am addressing a question about my experience with Sermorelin.
“What are your thoughts on sermorelin vs tesamorelin as it relates to anti-aging?”
Now, for peptide vets, you probably know what I will say here.
Sermorelin has been around for a LONG time.
It’s firmly established in the “bro world” and has long been used by bodybuilders to help build muscle, burn fat, and do all those wonderful things we know growth hormone does.
Yet, if you asked me to choose between sermorelin and tesamorelin, I would select tesamorelin.
Every day of the week.
Here’s why:
Sermorelin originally received FDA approval back in 1997 to treat children with growth hormone deficiencies.
Tesamorelin was approved by the FDA in 2010 for the treatment of lipodystrophy in HIV patients (and still has its approval).
But that’s not why I like tesa better.
The reason I prefer tesamorelin to sermamorelin is that it simply works better.
It’s more potent.
It’s much better at getting rid of fat (especially stubborn body fat).
It’s better for building muscle tissue.
It delivers all the benefits of growth hormone (including anti-aging) far more effectively.
And I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Most people in the peptide space who actually use these agents themselves would tend to agree with me.
Now, does that mean that I think Sermorelin is a BAD option?
No.
If that’s all you have access to, that’s all you have access to.
But let’s say there’s a reason it wasn’t our first choice to stock at BioLongevity Labs.
That honor was reserved for Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin (a POWERHOUSE combination).
As for getting your hands on it, we’re still working on getting our new warehouse up and running, but you can still head over there and enter your email.
You’ll be notified when we’re back in stock and ready to roll.
In the meantime, if you want to learn more about peptides, check out our premium course, Peptides Demystified.
We get into all the nuances of growth hormone peptides (as well as pretty much every peptide you can imagine) in a level of detail that’s impossible to cover in these emails (live demos included).
Best,
