The Path of Least Resistance
Which approach should you take
Today, I will depart slightly from the world of peptides and hormones to discuss some lifestyle fundamentals.
Most “experts” will tell you that therapeutic hormones are for a select few individuals.
I tell you that hormones are for the MAJORITY of individuals.
Most will tell you that peptides are “dangerous” (lol) and that if you use them, you should go through a compound pharmacy.
I say these agents are overwhelmingly safe and that the peptides you pick up from a research company (like our brand new company, BioLongevity Labs) are basically identical to compounded versions (minus the exorbitant price tags, of course).
When it comes to lifestyle, I have DRAMATICALLY different ideas than the overwhelming majority of people you’ve probably heard before.
One of the key areas in which my ideas and philosophies differ is when it comes to fat loss.
You’ve all heard it before - “slow and steady wins the race.”
Not so fast.
Sure, some individuals might prefer the long, drawn-out approach.
But I’m sure for most of you if you could get all of your fat loss knocked out and done in a month or two, you would quickly take that over, dragging it out for a year or two.
Well, guess what - you can!
And you probably should.
To give the “experts” their due, I will concede that this used to be at least somewhat accurate.
Ten years ago (before we had access to agents like retatrutide, tesofensine, and SLOOP), you really did have to take your time with it.
Yes, you always had the option of a more aggressive approach to fat loss (something that the “experts” have long been loathe to admit).
But in reality, the difference in how long it would take to reach your goal weight was akin to the difference between taking the highway vs the freeway.
Now?
Thanks to the agents we currently have available, the time required to reach your goal body fat percentage has shortened EXPONENTIALLY.
Or, to put it in travel terms, it’s the difference between driving and hopping on a plane ✈️
This is what most people ought to be doing.
You should be taking advantage of these agents to strip fat off your body as quickly as humanly possible.
Why?
Because fat is DEADLY.
The more fat you fat you have on your body:
❌ The shorter your lifespan will be
❌ The more pressure you’ll be putting on your body
❌ The less effective the peptides you’re using will be
Why would you want to put yourself through a few extra years of that when you could get the job done in months 🤷♂️
Now, two objections are usually raised whenever this topic of rapid fat loss comes up:
The fear of metabolic slowdown and muscle loss.
In reality, BOTH these fears are unfounded.
As long as you’re hormonally optimized, eat enough protein, train with weights, and keep your fat loss periods short (we recommend no more than 30 days), you will experience minimal muscle loss.
The same goes for a metabolic slowdown.
So, in conclusion, if you’ve got a lot of fat to lose, you’ve got two options:
✈️ Hop on a plane and get there in a few hours
OR
🚗 Pack up the car for a road trip and get there next week
The choice is yours.
Best,
Hunter Williams
