What I Learned From The Olympia
The horizon of biohacking and bodybuilding
Today is my first full day home after returning from the Mr. Olympia 2024.
I was a featured speaker on the peptides panel at Olympia University, the education platform hosted yearly at the Olympia expo.
I met some fantastic other doctors and subject matter experts on the subject of hormones, peptides, and overall health optimization.
Today, I will share my insights on what is coming in 2024 and beyond in the biohacking space.
Peptides
Peptides are all the rage right now (and rightfully so). Multiple vendor booths at the expo promoted peptides, and there was massive interest in them at the speaker panels.
What to watch out for: The next evolution of peptides is on the longevity frontier. GLP-1 peptides and mitochondrial peptides will take the world by storm in the next 12-24 months as more and more people discover their therapeutic uses for anti-aging and well-being.
Testosterone For Younger Adults
The giant elephant in the room is testosterone levels among younger adults in their 20s and 30s. It is becoming more and more common for clinicians to see younger men and women with clinically deficient hormone levels.
What to watch out for: Oral formulations of products like Kyzatrex to help boost levels in younger people without suppressing their dwindling natural production. I’m not a fan of Kyzatrex for TOT purposes, but it may be a solution to help bridge the gap for younger people who will need some sort of hormonal support as the world becomes increasingly contaminated.
Legal Changes
Several legal changes are on the horizon in the world of peptides and hormones. For one, telemedicine may disappear starting in 2025.
No one has a crystal ball, but as it stands now, patients who receive hormones via telemedicine will likely not be able to see their current doctor without at least 1-2 in-person visits per year. Compounding pharmacies may also not be able to produce peptides any longer, which puts peptide prescriptions via a doctor at risk.
What to watch out for: Have a backup plan in place if your doctor is in a location that makes it difficult for you to see them in person. If you love using peptides, be ready to source your own research chemicals, as many doctors and compounding pharmacies will likely be unable to prescribe peptides as they have in the past.
Final Takeaways
Overall, I had an amazing time at the Olympia.
I met some incredible people, had enlivening conversations, and interacted with some of our amazing fans and audience.
It’s clear now where the world is now moving in two directions:
There will be people who outsource and offload their health and wellness to their PPO doctor and, unfortunately, will likely remain unhealthy and unoptimized.
A select group of people will take control over their health and continue to be at the cutting edge of hormone therapy, peptide therapy, and advanced biohacking techniques, which enable them to live a level 10 life.
Stay tuned for the rest of this week, as some big announcements are coming!
Best,
Hunter
