Testosterone: Year 1
What to expect in your first 365 days
Last week, I dropped an email all about your first few weeks on therapeutic testosterone.
And in that email, I wanted to address many of the UNKNOWNS.
I wanted to give you guys a taste of what it feels like to be optimized and what to expect in those first few critical weeks.
But what about beyond that?
What about the first YEAR?
Because after you’ve “gotten over the hump” and gotten your protocol dialed in, it should just be smooth sailing, right?
For some guys, yes…but not always.
The first few months on testosterone are often referred to as the honeymoon phase. 😌
Some of the best months possible in a man’s life.
It is a time filled with tremendous opportunities and exciting changes.
But, like anything, it requires an adjustment.
And if you’re not careful, there are a few pitfalls to avoid.
Here’s what you need to watch out for:
#1: Be Careful Where You Put Your Energy
If you’re anything like most guys and you’re suffering from all of the brain fog and lack of energy that a deficiency can bring, I’ve got good news for you…
Once you’re dialed in, you’re going to feel superhuman 🦸
The days of slumping your head on the table at 3 PM because you can’t wait for the day to end are over.
Expect boundless energy.
Expect a newfound vigor and zest for life you didn’t think possible.
Fantastic!
Just make sure you are a good steward of this energy.
For example, a lot of men get on testosterone and decide that rather than SKIP the gym like they were doing before, they’re now going to start doing 3-hour, marathon gladiator-style workouts six days a week (and set themselves up for an injury in the process).
Resist the temptation, soldier.
Stick to a SMART protocol like positive muscle failure (trust me, PMF + testosterone will yield you PLENTY of muscle).
Or they’ll use their newfound energy to burn the candle at both ends and work late into the night.
Again, resist the temptation.
You’re not actually superhuman. 😂
And the laws of rest and recovery still apply.
#2: Don’t Neglect Bloodwork
We all know that when you first start using therapeutic testosterone, regular bloodwork is a necessity.
It’s critical that you monitor your androgens and all your other biomarkers to find the optimal protocol and fix any problems that arise.
But once that happens and you’re dialed in, many guys think they’re good.
After all, if you’re looking and feeling great and all your symptoms have resolved, do you really need blood work?
Yes, you do.
You don’t need it at the same frequency as when you started.
But getting regular blood work to “check under the hood” and monitor your biomarkers is all part of a fully optimized lifestyle.
#3: Start Using Peptides
Now we get to the fun part - peptides, baby! 😎
Now, I realize there are a lot of you who are NOT hormonally optimized and who are using them anyway.
And that’s fine.
Unless you’re a complete dumpster fire, you’ll probably get some benefit out of them.
But now that your hormones are firing on all cylinders, you will see the benefits.
Which means that now is the time to start experimenting.
Try different agents, try different stacks, try different protocols.
No, you don’t have to (and shouldn’t) go shotgunning every peptide under the sun simultaneously.
But you can kick your game up to the next level.

#4: Let Unproductive Relationships Go
If you’ve already read Testosterone: The God Molecule, you know that the path to optimization isn’t just a massive physical change - it’s a gigantic SPIRITUAL change.
Now that your body and mind are firing on all cylinders, you’ll quickly discover that your SOUL is also firing on cylinders.
And that means you’ll see the world differently than many of your so-called friends.
It means that your consciousness will be raised to levels that the average person has difficulty fathoming.
And unfortunately, that means letting many people in your life go.
That’s the way it works.
The good news?
Now that your vibration is being raised, you have the opportunity to surround yourself with others who resonate on the same level.
